There is a risk of ice storms at altitudes between 1000 and 1500 metres!
The situation is deteriorating rapidly due to the rainfall
The avalanche risk is high above 1200 metres. Avalanches, even large ones, break out spontaneously.
Snowpack
dp.6: cold, loose snow and wind
New snow accumulates on the frozen old snow cover, which represents an enormous additional load. At a depth of around 20 cm, there is a weak shear layer in the old snow, which breaks up in many places due to the additional load.
Tendency
After the end of the precipitation, a strong northerly wind will blow, transporting the fresh snow and causing drifts, especially on the southern slopes. The risk remains high at level 4 for the time being.
