Fresh drift snow!
The avalanche danger is assessed as moderate above 1800 metres. The danger spots will increase during the night and on Friday morning. The danger spots are located in the north to south-east sectors. Drift snow is the main problem. An alpinist can trigger a slab in the entrance areas of gullies and hollows, whereby an avalanche size of 1 to max. 2 is expected.
Snowpack
The snow cover hardens with the drop in temperature. During the night, it snows with wind and low temperatures. The fresh snow is transported and is only slightly bonded to the old snow cover. The snow cover could settle. Depending on the altitude, the snow cover is damp or wet inside.
Tendency
The risk of slipping snow in the higher altitudes remains the same.
